To be so distinguished, is an honour, which, being very little accustomed to be favors from the great, I know not well how to receive, or in what term to acknowledge.

But if it were not, I must own, I should prefer the title of the ancient philosopher, viz, a citizen of the world, to that of an Englsihman, a Frechman, a European, or to any other appellation whatever.
